Wearily the day limps over the horizon.
Looking up, beyond mountains,
I see that the moon has come again
To this old familiar hunting ground.
And there it goes, a ghost hawk chasing shadows,
Distributing planets to far flung places,
Liquid grey beyond the night.
Stripping away clouds, peeling away
Layer after layer of everyday lies,
Revealing harsh home truths.
Revealing at last, the glory of stars.

When Dennis brings Nature to the fore then he also brings the sense of everything being in its rightful place for a reason and the reasons behind this not only give a setting for.....the glory of the stars but also strip away essential human Nature and reveal it in all its truthfulness, written with warmth of heart,a searching soul and a humility in the face of Nature.
