We have years to make money and pretend
those future bills won’t strangle color from gray
The necessity to shrug off the unknown with
a smile gives birth to courage as we celebrate
Carrying on past our destined reign and moving
forward to plan b without panic or hesitation
A foreign ride trying not to be consumed by
alleyways and diverse intentions of cold stares
Friends grinning quietly high above a sunrise as
each individual feels something new and pure
Wrinkle free reflections in this mirror of present
existence remind us we can evolve if we choose
The acceptance of pain from a decision made
outside normality brings experience for all eternity

Wow you last line really has a lot of depth and truth in it. It is acceptance and pain that really shapes people and gives them life experience. Making decisions "outside normality" is a very important part of life. |
