Reflections

Contributed by northernlights on Thursday, 23rd December 2010 @ 01:55:41 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Mind of logic
Why do u stretch out your enquiring hand and take
Each and every word
I utter?
Then, as a never ending puzzle
Rearrange them in a collage of finding
My Face!
My imaginings are not always the reflections of all that is me,
You will not find a lasting impression, but
The constant tread of millions of grains that shift with the moment, with the idea, with the mood.
For by my very nature I am Chameleon,
Hiding in literary camouflage,
Until for that moment my thoughts have clarified my image, an outline and your claim to know of me is founded,
Real!
Defined!, then inspiration crashes, and I am particles
Driven by the constant drag and pull of forces beyond my control.
For all that you think you know
In the chaos,
My spirit is free!
Confined only by the fallible rules of Humanity.
A sidewinder, a pathfinder
A pattern.
And just as you think you have found me!
The wind blows, thoughts settle
And all has
Changed.

Hmmmm... interesting to know that. You definitely penned a great poem on that interesting bit of news.

I especially love these lines: For by my very nature I am Chameleon,
Hiding in literary camouflage
Smile! love this poem!
