Girl, You fell from the hands of your previous
Landed on the concrete to the hopeless and delirious
You got up after weeks
and stood on your own two broken feet
After each step
every crack spread
with no intentions of stopping
but you kept walking
Struggling with each step but the weight of the world heavier than a thousand boulders
Weighing down on the already weak frame fracturing the shoulders
The cracks intertwined such as veins mapped across her person
Meeting at the middle, as it only started to worsen
Unable to carry through with life any more
The cracks shattered her to pieces left like litter on the floor
Left to rot in the painful clutter
Her heart tries to speak but only utters
Many see but leave her to get old
But a boy stops and sees a pile of gold
He picks up the pieces and puts her back together
But nothing is the same cause she swears off love forever
Looking in the mirror she only sees the cracks
Now she feels its beauty she lacks
The boy looks from behind her in the mirror
And gently he whispers in her ear
“You’re beautiful to me and your heart beats true
Even with these cracks I’m not going to stop loving you
Its your heart that is strong not the body its in
But we’ll be perfect together "
He unbuttons his shirt
And she jumps to alert
He shows her the healing cracks that are now only paper thin
