You said your life was crazy, so out of control
Your trust, you once had given, someone from you stole
Tho you weren’t looking, your life you do enjoy
Out of nowhere I came, just a silly boy
Thoughts that once were hidden, always well concealed
Rush into the fore front, but your heart has not yet healed
You told me not to wait for you, to discover my life too
But my heart has already told me, it wants and needs just you
So my future isn’t a given, no guarantees were made
The sun on me shines brightly, I look to you for shade

I like the third verse a lot. It explains very well the feelings you get on rebound. I know how it feels to love someone on rebound, and to be on rebound, and I think you do too. A great poem for both sides of the spectrum. |
