Dear mountain speak to me,
Tell me what I seek,
I thought it was found,
My hopes run aground,
I'm lost can you find me.
I search the sods,
For my little gods,
The answers within,
So I can begin,
To heal this rift dividing me.
I beseech my king,
Only questions he brings,
I sit on his throne,
And all that is known,
Is that he's looking after me.
When I descend,
Will I find my friends,
My lifelong lovers,
My spiritual brothers,
My gateway to clarity.
And hope springs eternal,
In this raging inferno,
This cruel cruel game,
Of mistake and then shame,
That's all but consuming me.
I'm all but there,
A few pages to spare,
Another volume completed,
Another hang up deleted,
Ten fold created for free.
I thought she held the answers,
Thought she was my mantra,
But she's just a clue,
To what I should do,
I've found the lock but not the key.
