I know I’m not supposed to care
I know I didn’t have a say
But sometimes I think I should have protected you
From the ones who took you away
I’ll never get to meet you
Never get to hold you
Never know if you were a girl or a boy
Never know how you would’ve been
I’m not supposed to cry
Because you were never mine
I’m not supposed to wonder
What they did with your body
You’ll never meet your sister
I think you’d get along
Everytime she’s here on visit
I keep thinking there could’ve been two
You’ll never have a graveyard
A place to remember
We’re all supposed to forget you
But you’ll always be in my heart
