My lost first love

Contributed by Nobleclint on Monday, 13th December 2010 @ 11:13:56 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Like the sun rising from the East,
she was a angel I couldn't resist,
her smiles so bright,
that they make me cry.
Her beauty is as a portrait which angels behold and prostrate.
In her eyes,I beheld transparency,
reflecting my feelings so strongly.
But when I had the chance
to express my ardour to her,
my guts were nowhere to be found.
I tried my best,
but was too coy
to take the bull by the horn.
Hence I was necessitated,
to love and live in silence.
Hurting myself in pretence.
Until that sad day
when we parted from college,
watching the one I love,
slip away from me
wishing I had told her,
how I loved her,
probably we would have been lovers,
but I never did.
We are now far apart,
but I can't still forgive myself,
for witholding what I felt.

I do understand this feeling....it do happens in life when we wait for our guts to express our love and by the time we get it ....we already lost it and then we cry our whole life thinking that if at that one moment I said something we were together forever but we lost it.
I love your poem so much.

Takecare

This poem makes me think of all the regrets I've had in love, I'm very sorry about your loss, yet you never know what fate has in store
