Lost Father

As I sit here lonely and broken

Missing my father my love unspoken.

Wishing I could pick up the phone and call but every time I do I feel my heart fall.

I soon remember that my father has passed away.

All of this stuff soon starts to weigh.

Heavy on my mind in the deep dark depths of my lonely soul.

Everything going on around me is taking its toll.

Heavy on my heart and hard on my mind.

No answers can I find.

As I ask God why?

Why did my father have to die so young?
