Sparrows

Contributed by DrcGaimer on Saturday, 11th December 2010 @ 08:47:29 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

It was early morn, the sun had just begin to rise, where upon a sparrow seized my eye.
I viewed as it bounded about, scouting for food. Alighting, others arrived and engaged it in a frivolous mood.

Heartened by their play, a notion filled my head. Hence I entered my abode and gathered two portions of bread.
I rent them to bits and dotted about the ground. Yet the sparrows were frightened, as my footsteps engendered sound.

Tearing in contrasting directions, they hid amid the trees. One dauntlessly returned and commenced to feed.
Encouraged, the others directly joined. A verse from the bible I coined...

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or story away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them.

What fantastic imagery you have used. Every line is quite vivid and there is a nice constant flow throughout the write. Very well done.
