Unknown Victims

Contributed by xHeathenx on Thursday, 9th December 2010 @ 07:36:55 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Lumbering Giants lie deep within
Catacombs Constructed Upon our Sin

Thundering Steps, Explosive roars
Hair as Long as Ocean Shores

The Creatures Live in Forested Land
and Have Never Fell to Mortal Hand

Creatures Immune to Fright
Living Merely in a Zone Twilight.

Never Exposed Never Found
These Beasts Live Lives on Sacred Ground.

Guardians of Truths Unknown
Stand at Statures No Mortal's Known.

Infinite Creatures With Infinite Sight
Forever Tormented by This Fight.

The Creatures are Attacked by Sin
When Our Good is Wearing thin.

They Feel Pain When We Disobey
Bleed When We Act in Evil's Way

Peaceful Creatures Shackled to Wrong
Forever Kept, Weak or Strong

Wounded and Watching, Forever Sad
Never to be Healthy or Glad.

The Giants Remain For All Time to Come, Wounded , Forever Numb.

Like the rhythm with which the poem flows...

Interesting, very interesting. I love the way you write. Are these creatures/giants a metaphor, or is it a story? Either way I like it.

The meaning remains elusive to me, but my intrigue grows with each read. Some wonderful turn of phrase throughout.

God? A guardian angel perhaps? Our conscience? Hmm. You certainly only reveal exactly what you want to share with the reader. Keep us guessing, that's alright too. :)
