A Teddy’s Tear:
Why have you left me in this cold and lonely box?
Is now boredom the only thing we can concoct?
We used to be inseparable no matter what time of day
Now all I can look forward to is evermore dismay.
Through this tune I hope in your memories it will haunt
Eerie as it may seem, all I desire is for you to want
To play with me like old times before
Wipe all of the tears that your abandonment made me bore
I was your teddy, proudly to anyone you would flaunt
But now I’m just a teddy, from your past coming to haunt
It is sad not for you to realize
But for me to watch and to scrutinize
How you could ever let such a tear
Become my tear, a teddy’s tear.
Seriously nowadays kids are growing up without that personal touch from a simple toy. Video games are swapped quickly just to bring short moments of joy. But because it has no personality, no deepening worth. Kids grow up faster than the moment of their birth. My gma would always grab any toy that she found on the street. She collected so much that they started to build up around my feet. As many as I had, I would give each of them a name and a personality of their own. From Tommy who’s always happy, to Bu who would ***** and moan. I kept them for the longest because I loved each of them to death. They were my best friends who were always present when I would take my morning breath (yawning). I stumbled upon this song on Youtube out of reminiscing about another song. I’m sure glad I found Teddy’s Tear video because it made me think of way back long. Whatever happened to you guys I’ll will never know. Maybe gma threw you guys out, or gave you up to someone else who needed y’all as they grow. I hope this song doesn’t reflect how you are all feeling. Because right now this has got my heart peeling. RIP or goodbye and farewell, I’m sorry that we had to depart. But you all will always hold a special place within my heart.
A word to the wise, don't take things for granted. Not even your favorite childhood toy, or old tattered blanket. For they each served a purpose that you may not now comprehend. Understand that they have feelings too that could also bend. It's a world full of sorrow that we live in today. But let's not forget the ones we left in the past, who's seen better a day.
