The Struggle

Contributed by butterflyperfect on Wednesday, 1st December 2010 @ 12:20:24 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Words ring inside my head,
As I ask "Where do I go?"
I am being torn away
From everything I've ever known.

I wake up and put on a mask,
Hiding how broken I really am.
Trying to find the answers
And come up with a plan.

Times have always been hard.
When will I get a break?
I remind myself to breathe,
Try to relax when I ache.

I don't know where I'm going
And I don't know when it'll be okay,
But I will just keep on trying
To find my way.

Every person has their moments,
Every person has their flaws,
That turns then into monsters
And showing off their claws.

But to every evil inside of someone,
There is the good thats also there
Maybe I'm overguarded,
And to hurt to share.

So in these moments I hide,
Trying to find my way.
I constantly struggle
To make it through the day.

When will it be over,
And all be well?
That is the question,
But no one can tell.

Wonderfully written. That what not breaks us makes us write these words of great magnitude and description of where you are or where you were at that time. Once again great writing.

I really enjoyed this poetic piece.
I can really relate to it.
I've believed that overcoming
life obstacles (no matter how difficult)
formulates good character,
and you've captured that here very well.
All I can say is keep trying even if the desired
results aren't achieved just yet because
it'll all be worth it in due time.

take care

-K.Z.
