If we took a picture together,
I think my heart might race ardently
With affection for our duplicates
Each time I saw it.
I'd look upon it so often
That the colours would certainly dull;
What was captured by one lens,
Another two would devour.
Proof of our promixity
That we were in the same frame.
Just for an instant,
Together at least somewhere.
That'd be enough to make blood rush
As my heart tries to measure the contours
Of your face and mine,
Sweetly alongside each other.
I'd trace the details every day,
Holding the memory of your features
Like a miser with infinite wealth,
Being so envious of the one next to you
Forgetting, having looked so many times,
That she is me, because
Reality could never be so kind.
So, can we take a picture together?
