A hunger lying deep within,
I make you feel so cold and thin,
Ripping at your hopes and dreams,
To make you cry and make you scream,
I torment you when you’re in pain,
and laugh at you when you feel shame,
I listen to your thoughts and fears,
And make you fear your unspent years.
A hand that grips you by the throat,
I make you gag and make you choke,
I creep inside your worried mind,
Make your skin crawl… until you’re blind.
I find your scars and learn your doubts,
And when I turn you inside out,
You will forever be my slave,
Never free… until the grave.

| very dark and yet an easy read. Done wonderfully. Anger is powerful, as your poem is probably equally as powerful. I really like "I torment you when you're in pain, and laugh at you when you feel shame" I relate to those lines very much. Incredible write! |
