There are many ways to ignore a boring speech.
One is to simply not listen, but what would that teach?
That would voices are so trivial and not meant to be heard.
The only thing that hurts more than a knife is the spoken word.
Black is the only thing she feels safe in.
She's all by herself in darkness within.
Scared, all alone, she's feeling depressed.
All it took was one cut, who would have guessed?
She tried to talk. She wanted to be heard.
This time the knife won over the word.
He took his hand with a tight clutch.
Enjoying the feeling of his touch.
The pointed, laughed, not bothering to care.
Until tomorrow, when the found him blood soaked in a chair.
He tried to talk. He wanted to be heard.
This time the knife won over the word.
They laughed at her as she tried to promote safe sex.
She had and abortion what did they expect?
He held her down, she couldn't escape.
She said 'no'. It didn't help the night she was raped.
She tried to talk. She wanted to be heard.
This time the knife won over the word.
Fighting, yelling was all he ever knew.
Cocaine was the only friend he could cling to.
He couldn't take it. He'd listen to enough.
Lighted it up and took a puff.
He tried to talk. He wanted to be heard.
This time the knife won over the word.
They say he's the loner, the stereotyped bad boy.
Known for playing with hearts like a toy.
He was the total opposite, shy to the bone.
Couldn't take it and spoke out. Made himself known.
He talked. He made sure they heard.
This time the knife didn't win over the word.
Speaking your heart can never be absurd.
So show the knife the power of word.

This is a bone chillen write.
You hear many talk about the cutting thing but this write is reality. I pray it wakes some up and helps them to stop.
Incredible writing.
huggs, blessings,
