A Shattered Truth

The stars that have a broken glow,
Are often ones that do not show,
the greatness that lies deep inside,
broken by shame’s hollow lies,
A truth that very few can see,
Lies buried very far beneath,
The blind enunciated glare
Of narrow minded plebs who share,
A deadly un-sedated lie,
For which there is no alibi,
And if you want to see the truth,
Of broken dreams and shattered youth,
Then open up your eyes and see,
This nation is no longer free.

I like your style very much. This is full of hidden depth and very though provoking. Well done. |

Excellent. This poem really channeled my growing frustration about the world I see around me. |
