Let them Bleed

Contributed by Wisdom_Macauley on Thursday, 25th November 2010 @ 07:28:06 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

No longer can i sleep
With one eye open,
Soul and body i rise,
Lay three skins before me,
Then mix and blend
The Green with the Nicotine

Take a toke and choke
Watching the smoke swirl,
It starts to kick in
As it flows through my airways,
Finally my mind has the ability,
To find peace and tranquillity,

Suppressing the stresses,
These serpents bring upon me,
As they slither and creep in the grass
With there dark plots and conspiracy's,
Fantasising my last breath,
When my heart no longer beats
To the rhythm of life,

Only the strong survive,
So with all my power and wisdom,
I shall show no mercy upon my enemies,
Screaming with a vengeance,
Let them bleed,
Murder is an evil deed,
To wish upon my enemies,

But they despise me,
Preying to see my body deceased,
So i am left with no choice,
But to draw blood,
And strike down these snakes,
With all my might,
So i can sleep peacefully at night.

Indeed you do convey very well
the scene is clearly depicted
the artistic aspect is nothing short of immersing
as we all wish for peace of some kind,
the end product of this passage
we can all relate to
nicely written
truely

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
