There is a fire burning low
on this cold dark night.
Candle on the glass table top
with a scent that smells just right.
There is a dusting of snow
that fell a bit lastnight.
Holiday lights all a glow
a bright twinkle to light up the sky.
Fire glow, dusting of snow
dancing flames in candles
brings peace into my soul
for moments all seems right.
I lay and stare with dreamy eyes
as the lights light up so bright
shimmering against the glass
I peacefully whisper with the night.

After I saw the word candle I was really hoping for candelabra. It's one of my favorite words, though not very useful...unless it's Hanukkah of course...
anyway, good job, i liked it. certainly gives a warm feeling. keep up the good work.

brings peace into my soul
for moments all seems right.
I like these lines because for me its music
that always brings a moments peace and it
all seems right until reality returns.
I lay and stare with dreamy eyes
as the lights light up so bright
shimmering against the glass
I peacefully whisper with the night.
Dreams are amazing and they are the one
thing we can all still hang on. The thoughts
and dreams set us free from all of reality
and it is a glimmer of what we could have.
Great write and as always anything you do is
a joy to read filled with a love that we all
strive to have and feel. Keep writing and I will
try to read more often, thanks for your kind
words. |
