Last Chance

Topic: AngryPoetry

He awoke every morning
Hoping it was his last
he ould soon discover
that his wish woul come fast

got dressed, ate breakfast
in the same ungrateful maner, day after day
he kept shooting dirty looks his mothers way
the guilt consuming her sent out dismay

he paraded through the streets
trampled into the grungy school place
still upset and angry a the world he began to stomp
so many were sorry, they cared, not just in case

The teachers all smiled
and he looked away
his peers said "hey"
and all he could do was smirk gay

the all saw the hate within
it ws no big secret
it was in his eyes, vacant and gone
hey wanted help, wanted to heal although he regret

you see his dad was gone
his one and ony rock
trust with anyone had been demolished, and shot
all he thouht : mock , mock , mock

Not challenging his vocal cords
he slowly slipped, half way through math
the teacher called his name
and he went insane

grabbed his kniffy (knife)
took it to his already weakened arms
the teacher walked his way
he threatened his neck if she didnt shut off the alarm

The teacher was stunned and sad
but she cared too much
so she sat back down watching the blood
then dismissed the class for lunch

The teacher urged him to get help
refusing that too
the gym instructor came and held him down
then, he knew what he had to do

So he broke...
and he cried...cried until al the tears were gone
its what had to be done
this time it wasn't a con

He went to his mother
eyes blood shot and puffy
he was numbed inside
why was everything so muffy

recieving care, long needed attetion
he talked and cried, talked and cried
that was how his recent days went
he couldn't deny, he had lied

no longer would he
hide his pain,or keep his anger hidden
he now held in his mothers arms
finally smiled past pains ridden...

I alone idolize you. We've been torn apart through time and distance but I still have the memories of last year, all those times we laugh and cried... and this poem, it brings back to that time- even through the agony and defeat. There is more than meets the eye, right Jill?
