I met you. I didn't like you.
This didn't stop you. You kept trying.
I gave up. I talked to you.
You said you loved me. I liked it.
You made promises. You made me smile.
Before I knew it, I really knew you.
Before I knew it, I really loved you.
You asked me out. I was happy, ecstatic.
It was fun. I liked it, enjoyed it.
You were different. You were "the one", mine.
It went smoothly. It was going good, strong.
I was comfortable around you. You were too, I'm sure.
Because of you, I was able to be me.
Because of you, I was able to unfold.
Things started going unsteady. I saw it.
I didn't care. I believed in your promises.
Problems got worse. I still hung in there.
I couldn't let you go. I loved you.
I loved you too much. Fear took control.
It was then, we broke apart.
It was then, I broke down.
It was ok though. Still able to be friends, thank god.
Easier said than done. I missed you, still do.
"Our fighting was our problem". I disagree, a lot.
I still liked our fights. They made me feel, so much.
I was no longer empty. I had a heart, had you.
And to believe after all this time,
I still love you.
And to believe after all this time,
You still make me feel so much.
It's only you who I can love.
It's only you who can make me unfold.
You make me who I am.
I love you.

quite enjoyed how you wrote this.
I'm sorry about the break up... I know how that goes...
Thing will work out for the best, I'm sure.
Whether it's moving on or getting back together or simply staying friends.
