The Broken Heart

Contributed by JohnnyFallen on Friday, 19th November 2010 @ 09:16:17 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Watch me cry as I lay here
Oh,
Watch me bleed as you read
These depressing words that are here for the eye to see
Just know that I still love you and I am weak
Like a leak in the ceiling
Comparing broken glass to my heart, there is no difference between the two
Bathing in my tears
Covering my ears
Hiding behind my fears
Staring myself in the mirror
Look like a disgrace
There is no place left
The moon shines and leaves a stream on my face glowing in its light
The stream is warm as blood and illuminates in the moonlight
I sleep...

Morning arrives, God wakes me with the sun
Not recalling how I went into sleep
Still... I'm broken.

This is heart wrenching. You expressed your feelings well in this write.
I hope peace finds your heart and the sun comes to your soul.

You are able to weave emotion seamlessly into your writing, which is a real gift.
Keep writing. For me, poetry soothes and I hope you find the same.
Cheers,
Mickey
