The End of My World

Contributed by DoubleS on Thursday, 18th November 2010 @ 02:15:56 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I'm lost in my world
As time stops before me
Cause now I have lost
My one and my only

How did I get lost
In a world made by me
The world in my mind
That only I can see

I created the ground
That now starts to shake
I created the life
That now starts to quake

Colors of the flowers
And roses by the bay
Grow old and wrinkle
As they start to turn gray

The sky starts to darken
As it starts to rain
My world starts to shatter
Because of my pain

The stars we once saw
Start to fade in the night
And the words we once spoke
Cry out in the night

This poem will be
The last ever spoken
Cause just like my heart
My world, it is broken

But I want you to know
Our love will live on
Through the poems I've made
Even in the song

Perhaps in the future
I'll find a new girl
And that love will help
Recreate a new world

But for now it's goodbye
I'll see you again
For now it's so long
As my world meets it's end

------------------------------------------------------
What is "My World"? Well it's the name of my first poem ever, and the inspiration was my girlfriend... I wrote this because we broke up... All of my poems before this, (Excluding "Lost Friendship"), were inspired by her... Thank You for reading.. Please comment

Though this poem seems to be concerning complete dispair I caught a glimmer of hope within it. It's that little piece you should hold onto while thinking about the future and the past should be let go. Believe me, the past has swallowed me whole. I know how it feels.
