The one you never knew.

Contributed by Bexstasy on Monday, 15th November 2010 @ 04:48:43 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I tried to be there for you,
When I knew you needed me,
But when the tables turned,
You were nowhere to be seen,
I tried to let you know,
That all wasn't okay,
But you didn't care,
And you had nothing to say,
So I fought the pain alone,
You were never there,
I watched as it deteriorated,
The love we never shared,
I knew what you were like,
Your selfish ways, so cold,
I knew your words were lies,
About the future and growing old,
I hope you find your match,
Someone heartless like you,
I'm happy to remain,
'The one you never knew.'

Always lovely to read your poems. So full of emotions, it's great to try and read between the lines. This guy didn't obviously care about anyone but himself, so certainly the right choice to say, 'Bye-bye'!!
Take care, Chris.
