The hardest fight

Contributed by pinkunicornoctober on Thursday, 11th November 2010 @ 07:49:41 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I didn't want death,
To kill your pain,
I needed you more,
Here on Earth,
I thought there was something else,
To fight it away,
I'm sorry I was selfish like that.
So we just stepped back,
B/c that was your final wish,
We'd known this already,
So that's why we did it.
And it was the hardest fight,
I've ever fought,
And it is the only fight,
I've ever lost,
Seeing your tiny body,
Finally at rest,
Broke my heart but it proved that Heaven,
Always takes the best...

I <3 YOU, GRANNY! 05/10/35-10/10/10

So sorry for your loss and what better for the memory of your Gran than expressing just how much you love her and miss her in such a heartfelt write

I really feel for you on this one. I lost my grandad two years ago to cancer and it's awful watching him wither away. A terrific tribute. I'm sorry for your loss and truly hope you're feeling better.
Take care, Chris.
