is love a fancy or a feeling? no.
it is a rough hand which grabs the heart,
and will not rest until it's shaken everything held dear,
and forced you to your lowest lows,
and highest highs,
if only each for a moment.
it is a song which carries on,
a sweet repetitious chain of lazy notes,
strung together on a whim,
merely to mark its presence.
it is a pain deeper than any felt before,
an aching string which never ceases,
and even when clenched by the tightest embrace,
will not stop twanging.
it is a smile sent softly and sweetly,
across a room to a lover dear,
to remind of memories,
and promise a life ahead,
of kindness, acceptance, and bliss.
