Please forgive me as I ask again today
For the angels to come and take me away.
I swear, for once it's nothing to do with you;
Leaving is simply something that all lost souls must do.
Forgive me still as I beg you this day
To please join me on my journey astray.
I hate to imagine a life without you beside;
I daren't agree to leave you so far behind.
Please join me, I beg you: don't stay.
Your life shouldn't have to be this way--
With all your hunger and with all your pain,
You've still beside me peacefully lain.
You could be granted that with your pride aside,
If only you could be humbled in-stride.

A lonely soul I will admit
You've caught me, and here I sit
But know for sure this truth will be
Our secret alone, for eternity |
