A Deeper Darkness.

Contributed by cashfan1 on Tuesday, 9th November 2010 @ 08:07:35 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

There's a darkness I sometimes see
And it tries to make a friend of me
And swiftly bring me down

There's a silence that I hear
That has me shed a solitary salty tear
And turn my smile to a frown

And sometimes when I see a blue sky
That darkness is lingering somewhere near by
Eager to blacken out the sun

Then I will the sunshine to be strong
To pick me up and sweep me along
And set the darkness on the run

There's a moment that I know
That will always ebb and flow
In the deepest corners of my mind

But for now I will willingly take
All the good times that we make
And pray to leave the darkness far behind.

You can feel that faith is right there with as you try and leave behind whats troubling you. Making the best of things and keeping perspective. This was well written.

Hi Dennis,
A fine way of expressing what we all feel at some
time or other - that the world and life is not always
roses and gaiety.

Hang in there, my friend - the clouds will lift.
