selfstruggles
|
Amidst the hush of early dawn
in the lily covered pond, my face reflected a placid expression.
I stealthily maneuvered through the dense woods,
each step a treasured moment in the passage of time.
I struggled through the thick underbursh.
The soggy ground tugged at my feet;
the only sound, a pair of low flying geese.
I felt disoriented and confused.
The fog descended upon me like a gient curtain,
closing on the final scene in the last act of my life.
I emerged from that quiet place within,
and discovered what I believe.
But within the private confines of myself
I stifle the emotion, but tears leak out and break free.
Still, I believe, my secret in only safe with me.

Your words take the reader on a journey full of mystique and emotion. Stunning use of imagery and a nice piece of writing. Great job.

Hello Will. It has been too long...I simply love your usage of imagery in this piece to describe each phase of life.
Excellent closing line, but this part really stayed with me:
The fog descended upon me like a giant curtain,
Closing on the final scene in the last act of my life.
Breathtaking.
I hope you are well.
