Madness and Chaos

Contributed by trackiller2006 on Friday, 5th November 2010 @ 03:14:53 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Everywhere we look, it’s all around us
Like the waves of a tumultuous sea
How can we ever hope to stop this madness and clean the slate of the human existence?
We can’t
As long as the human race exists, we can never hope to change things
For the entirety of our existence on this planet, we will live only to cause chaos
The chaos that drives the leaders of men to commit atrocities against his brother and his fellow countrymen
The religious community calls this entity the work of evil, of the devil
But the devil has nothing to do with it
It is the madness that each and every one of us were born with, deep inside of us, just looking for that precise moment to boil to the surface like a sore
To bring chaos and madness to the world around us
Madness is what causes people to riot in the streets, killing and stealing
And madness is a shapeless form that has been with us since the inception of mankind
It drives kings to kill and maim their own populace for nothing but wanting to be free
People were burned at the stake for naught but being different and not fitting in with the society around them
Who knows what evils in the name of madness will be committed in the future with the technological advances that have gone by so fast?
Even now we are no doubt coming up with new ways to torture those who we have deemed our “enemies”
Chaos and madness go hand in hand
They have both always, are, and always will be with us
What is it you think drives a man to murder the mother of his own children in cold blood?
To cause the priests that we follow and heed to molest our children?
Just look at any headline in the newspapers today and tell me that we are not living in the grip of something that will eventually destroy us by using our own pride and selfishness against us
Disorder
Discord
Chaos
Madness
Whatever we call it, it will forever be sneaking up behind us to bring that trace of itself to the surface and use us to spread its name across the land

Good expression of your words, I say
But how about exploring this, if I may
I understand your hurt and can feel your pain
But this soon too, will only wane

I, too, felt much like you
a world as cold as Ice
then I saw, I had the power
to roll my own set of dice

You have the power
to make it matter
but when you give in to despair
you'll begin to... never care

So, I'm here to tell you
that as a fellow poet
change my seem far away

but if you wish to explore
that other door
you may be surprised of
the difference you can make!
