HOLLOW

Contributed by chrisdavid on Thursday, 28th October 2010 @ 01:16:37 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Sometimes we're just a shell
Living out this hell
When there's no tomorrow
You're feeling hollow

You collect a thousand thoughts
Then watch them fade to nought
You're sick with sorrow
And you're hollow

And when you're feeling sad and lonely, and want to cry
When you've got no more fight
And all you want to do is die
When a million words can't describe to me how you feel
You are a sorry sight
And you don't want to be real

There's a bitterness
About you're emptiness
You want time to grow
But you're hollow

You'll have some hope and more
One day, that's for sure
But right now you're full of woe
Because you're hollow

When you feel you have given up and there's no way back
Just look up to the light
And find some comfort in that
And if it seems that you're paying for some awful crime
Dream your dreams tonight
And just give it some time

You are hollow
There's nothing inside
For me to find
But don't give up today
Because maybe someday
You won't be hollow
