Oh, be mine forevermore!
Don't go to someone else, my love-
Unless, of course, you're sure...
Sure that someone else you know
Is better suited, dear,
To satisfy your appetite
For pretzels and for beer.
Oh, darling! Darling! Darling!
Just the thought that you might go
And leap into another's arms
Will make my teardrops flow!
They'll flow upon my ruptured heart
And make me scream in pain-
And with my broken-hearted dreams,
I'll stroll down lover's lane.
Happy birthday, sweet sweet darling,
You're the dumpling of my eye!
You're the tattered little love string-
You're the egg I love to fry!
And oh my gosh and golly,
If you issue me the boot,
In honesty, my tootsie-pie,
That fact is merely moot!
Yes, moot because I hate you!
Always have, you pompous hag!
To think our tongues have intertwined
Would make a monkey gag!
And so, my dear, I love you-
Always have, but never could-
And now you know just where I stand,

What a great piece!! This had me laughing out loud!! Loved the lines: To satisfy your appetite, for pretzels and for beer. I'm sure your 'tootsie-pie' is quite happy with where he is, being fed on that!
