Love Blind

Contributed by RowenM on Friday, 22nd October 2010 @ 03:54:40 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I hardly ever slept.
I used to think about you;
About our perfect moments,
The ones we’ve never had.
I used to think I had a chance
To fall in love again;
To finally have my happily ever after.
I used to daydream about our little house
In the middle of somewhere
Where you and I
Would spend the rest of our lives together.
But that wasn’t me.
I could only but feel pity and misery for myself.
One day I’d had enough.
I realized I deserved something real.

I used to be love blind.
Used to as in not anymore.

Well done - spoke from the heart and think we have all been there at some stage of our lives.
