Warm to the touch,
Smooth and unmarred,
Suddenly cold and unfeeling,
Broken unknowingly,
But broken none the same.
Gently the pieces slide together,
Slow enough not to destroy the beauty,
Fast enough not destroy time,
and painfully enough never to forget.
Fixed too quickly and it is too cold,
Fixed too slowly and it is too soft,
Fixed in perfect timing,
And it is perfectly balanced.
Fading are the memories,
Of a time now forgotten,
New memories taking the place of old,
And the sun shines through the glass
Casting a new reflection,
Who is to say if it is better or worse,
But it is forever a reflection of the first.

Very beautiful and very deep.
Eyes that can forever see, but not forever weep. You have captured that past and taken this picture in the present. Only the flash seems to have broken through the bounds of time.
Really nice write!
