THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES...

Contributed by pooja on Monday, 18th October 2010 @ 06:41:53 AM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

I had a dream of times long gone by
Of hideaway streets, new places to try

Crazy walks, endless talks that filled more than a day
Mad dances, weird chances and yet so much left to say

No rules,no pressure,no cutting ties
No super heavy philosphy, no tearful goodbies

The unnerving rhymes we wrote, leaving others tense
My dark sides in your darkness did make some sense

So much water had passed under the bridge, I have wept bitter tears
Wrapped in my loneliness wishing someone was here

I looked for better times, but there were none
As friends left my side one by one

Till I took things in my hands and decided to cut free
From everyone as they get used to a life without me

Now the bitter state has started to go away
As with a little less hope, less expectation I face another day

Bu today as I dreamt of the past, of the beloved old stories
I smiled, I paused, I just wanna say thank you for the memories !

I love the way you say the last line. I am also the same when I go in my past by memories. That is the most beautifull moment for me.
Love the way you write....
