She asks for Religious Freedom,
It’s what America is about.
And thought she’s legal citizen,
They won’t let her live it down.
She was born in the U.S,
Lived here all her life.
And through this time of war,
She shares our pain and strife.
Is it so difficult to understand,
To accept her as our own?
Can’t we all just get along,
Like the example I have shown?
Judge her for “her” inside,
Not the scarf that she wears.
She has no relation to Bin Laden,
So do not point and stare.
She is a good friend of mine,
Regardless of her beliefs.
She is at least accepted by one,
And that’s her only relief.
Bruised, but not broken,
United, we stand.
So to a fellow America.
Reach out your hand…
