I wanted to write you a song
To tell you how much I like you.
Because it’s not about your eyes or your face.
It’s about your sincerity and kindness.
Because of your innocence.
I wanted to write you a song
To tell you how much I care for you.
Yet, I feel guilty because every time I’ve helped you
I’ve done it waiting something in response.
A simple smile suffices.
I wanted to write you a song
To tell you how much you mean to me.
To express myself with soothing beats,
Short-lasting verses and deep lyrics.
Because you mean the world to me.
I wanted to write you a song
To tell you how much I love you.
Instead, I found myself writing this.
