I know what you're going through,
Close your eyes and count to ten.
And I know your heart is bruised,
I'll be there when you open them.

I know it's hard,
I've been there, too...
Unsheathe your heart,
And I'll take good care of you.

I see what the morning brings,
The promise of misery,
As well as other things,
The world is your rivalry.

I know it's not fair,
Life's so untrue.
But guess who'll be there
To take good care of you...

I hear the broken dreams,
Shattering like glass.
I hear the ripping seams.
Of your lost pride last.

I know your tears and feel your pain,
When there's nothing I can do.
But I'd shed the years in the rain,
Just to take good care of you.

You should know I do not lie,
It's nothing but the truth.
I'll always be by your side,
To take good care of you..

I'll take good care of you,
The way that best friends do.
I'll always be there, too.
All because I love you...
