One Sad Song

Contributed by The_Phantom on Wednesday, 6th October 2010 @ 12:08:01 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Sun rise, sun sets, a soul consumed with regret,
Hearts fly, and hearts break, pain is left when love vacates,
Tears fall, and tears dry, head fills with thoughts of suicide,
What to do, and where to go, all alone fills so cold,

A broken heart leads to broken dreams, emotional scars seldom seen,
Locked away, and locked up tight, try and get through a lonely night,
The heart bleeds, a lover's pled,
A moonless night, grey clouds the only thing in sight,

Misery's pill, the world stands still,
Rain drops fall from heaven's eyes, Why in the world did you say goodbye,
Questions unanswered, prayers unheard, me without you, that's absurd,
Willing to forgive, but can't forget, the hurt I feel with every breath,

It was a shot to the heart, that tore my world apart,
Protect you from harm, blow my brains out in your lap , lie here and die in your arms,
But away you went, scream to the God's if only to vent,
What did I do that was so wrong, it turned our love into one sad song?

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

This is poetry! The emotion, the imagery, and flow. Good one.
