I hear a crunch every time i take a step or two.
Raising up my foot to check my shoe.
I look around, taking in the sight.
Not knowing colors could be so vivid at night.
Blinking in amazement at the scene around me.
I close my eyes and count to three.
One...Two...Three
I let myself fall for what seems to be an eternity.
Laughing at myself for my own absurdity.
But do i care what people think?
Not at all, they can push me to my brink.
I'd do it again without hesitating.
Jumping in leaves is my way of escaping.

laughing at myself for my own absurdity.......from one escape artist to another, i did the same in the snow, fell backwards and loved the wonderful fun and madness of it, thoroughly enjoyed this read and am now left in the warmth of an armchair of nostalgia |
