Full. Yet Empty.

I sit slumped.. atop of my ancient, cobwebbed throne,
long forgotten, wrinkled and skeleton-like.
Boasting a palace full of tremendous treasure,
but nobody to share it with.
My thoughts echo through dark, empty passages.
Nobody is around to listen.
Not a single footstep has been uttered in these forbidden halls,
for what feels like centuries.
As i create beautiful music, it reverberates naturally
with no bodies to soak up the sound.
Only the cold wind responds, in its own ghostly, haunting wail.
It sings of deep regret and sorrow.
Forever and second.
Stubbornly, I wait .Unnoticed and unheard of.
Not even a trickle of hope in sight,
My time is frozen, trapped underground,
acheing to reach the clouds.
Only this silent castle knows.
