Topic: oops

will it ever be okay,
When you left me without a goodbye,
There will be no closure for me,
But i've gotta try-
B/c it's lonely here-
Without you near,
Yes, i know you told me not to cry,
But i can't help it,
when you said you felt it,
I guess it was a lie.
maybe this is one of those "lessons learned",
and i know it's impossible to cross,
bridges that are burned,
I hope time really does heal all wounds,
I'm just trying to make it through,
But it's so hard when i'm so sad,
And i can no longer chew Big Red,
B/c it reminds me of you,
And the day i tasted it,
on your breath...

Someone has rated this with one star!! I'm puzzled. Love the lines 'lessons learned, bridges burned' as indeed that is what you must do. Learn and move on.
Good write, well done.
Take care, Chris.

i understand how you feel when you said"And i can no longer chew Big Red,
B/c it reminds me of you," good poem but try using full words instead of "b/c"

Nice and well expressed. "But I've gotta try" is a mainstay of never giving up. No matter hope bleak the situation, anything can change in the blink of an eye.

Keep up the good (writing) work!
Thumbs up!
