The Harbour

I'm walking, running towards
The harbour, my haven
Where I can 'safely' self-destruct
Where I can cry and tear apart at the seams
Where I can bob lifelessly in some pool
Where I can be forgotten and scorned
I'll be handed a razor and some kleenexes
To clean up my dirty business
When all I really needed was a smile and a hug
All I really needed was that,
But I'm cutting where no one can bother me
Or help if you think about it
Just trapped in my quagmire of loneliness
Something new always to drag me under
You just want to see me lying in a pool of blood
Where I can be flashed across TV screens
My every action judged
By those who know me not
And those who never will
Shake your heads, another teen
Massacred by the world's own flaws
Say a prayer for the broken family
Will it do any good?
The floor stained with my blood
A haunting memory of man's weakness
Or maybe I will die, forgotten
The faces of those, broken
Hidden from those brazen cameras
The 'concerned' faces of those
Seeking re-election they can suffer in silence
Maybe its better that way
My body void of life
Won't be chopped apart like a pig
Every angle shown 10 times over
To the saucer eyed masses
Who need their dose of other's pain
Like a cat craves milk
Like a shark drawn by blood
They believe everything they see,
But in a month I'll be forgotten anyway
Wrung free from their spongelike brains
Its sickening their dependency
How they suck everything in
Greedily, only to release it
Like having their first orgasm in a month,
But maybe I won't contribute to that
Leave them dry and thirsty
Leave them stranded like I am
I'm in my harbour, my bay
The waters are turning red
My brain is malfunctioning
Tossed where the waters dictate
My eyes stinging from the salt
To far out to be rescued

This poem is to raw. Its so vulnerable. It has perfect malignance, its like an open wound made by someone you thought you could beat. I love the last line, its so fitting. Plus this espression, I hope it makes you famous someday:
"To the saucer eyed masses
Who need their dose of other's pain
Like a cat craves milk "
Bravo,
- Kiirsten
