Poetry should not have titles

I write what I feel
even though it's hard,
it's sometimes almost impossible.
I write about who I am
even though I don't know myself
and most of the time it feels impossible.
But it is all I have, the only way,
to express what I just can't say
and that is why I find it so hard to categorise.
Love, life, death, nature
I don't write about these things
I write about myself, as selfish as that seems.
And so when you are reading a poem,
remember,
you might be seeing a person.
And to think you choose to see a person,
you choose to delve into the deep deep chasm
that is my being from one measly title,
from one phrase that I think up to label this poem,
to label myself.
Poetry should not have titles.

I like it. It it's deeper than at first read. |
