A hedonist caged
An identity realized
A flower grown stiff in the wind
Will rage, will spite
Accomplish will and will alone
No limits, rules, boundaries
The human animal
Wrapped in a flesh blanket
Seeking bodies to stack against the wind
Thrown off all constructs
Imposed upon instinct
Still howling, deep to the core
Trapped in parentheses
(No exceptions never)
Commanded to adapt to the concrete
Having crossed a line
Tempting Anarchy out of the cave
Never gone back, never known
Monster exiled for a reason
Havoc wrought by freedom
A plague to destroy created concepts
To not think once
Is to never again.

This is provocative poem. The subject matter is worthy of exploring. 2 thumbs up, I liked it. |
