I watch, as you close your eyes, you'll be taken to the skies
Where you will rest in peace
Your family, cry the tears, thinking of the many years
But they know you're safe at least
I look, at the life you've had, it all seems so very sad
That you're no longer here today
You'll leave, not from our hearts, even though we're far apart
We can still hear what you say
Life seems so cruel, watching you slip away
But in my dreams I still see you standing there
You will always live with me
You may have gone but you'll always care
My lasting memory
