Do you ever wonder
Is this where we should be
A quiet, repetitive life
Is that the life for me?
Remember that passion
Has it really been over a year
Are the most exciting things now
Money leftover for beer?
What had I imagined
Where did we want to go
Isn't there somewhere better
Than South Dakota or Idaho?
There are so many options
That the two of us could consider
But I don't want to push those
And drive us to be bitter
For a life with you
And nothing more
I would call a win
So please let's just get on this road
And let our lives begin.

I really liked your poem. It made me want to go out there and do something with my life. |
