A SIGHT FOR DEAD EYE’S
As I sat by her bed and listened to her distresses in this life and the desire to be rid of the cancer that was consuming her like a slow-burning fire. She seemed like a child knowing that deep longing for the gentle touch of a parent, and sensing that it was close. Yet there was something else was transpiring in the room at that very moment, another side of life unseen by man’s naked eye. For it was Death that sat by her bedside, hearing the sweet music of a death cry and wanting to help her step into a life of death, yet knowing the decision must be hers alone. Silently, patiently an unnoticed presence, but none the less real were these thought’s as I watched as if I were in the third person, above the scene as it was unfolding before my very eyes. My what reality can do to an open mind. The moment having past along with the pain she sat back in the comfort of the living until the next time death and his pal cancer come once again for a counseling session.

Welcome to YPDC.
Very sad but really well written.
I just lost a nephew and a cousin a few weeks back.
I can certainly relate to this one and most likely every one else can.
Keep up the great writing.
blessings,

Cancer is one of the most terrible diseases of our modern age and yet we cannot seem to stop it in its tracks.
Powerful piece.
