Everything dies.

Summer days, under a tree,
Nothing mattered,
Just you and me,
Talking about our hopes and dreams,
All that happiness,
Ripped at the seams.

Summer nights, under the stars,
You sealed my wounds,
And healed my scars,
Wanting to be with you forever,
Falling in love,
Like we'd still be together.

Watching films, cuddled on the sofa,
Before we knew it,
The movie was over,
But we knew we'd never end like a movie,
I never thought,
You'd lie to me.

Every night, lying awake,
Thinking about how,
It was all fake,
Crying at the thought of all your lies,
Realising now,
That everything dies.

Very relatable and eye-opening. I like it.

Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
