It's not like you'll ever need me,
To help you through the day,
It's not like I don't love you,
It's not like I can't stay.
It's not like I don't think of you,
I think of you all the time,
It's not like I don't miss you,
But missing you makes me cry.
It's not like everything I said was untrue,
You know I didn't lie to you,
It's not like I tried to push you away,
It's not like I wanted us to be through.
It's not like I didn't do all I could,
I tried to keep us together,
It's not like I could hold on alone,
It takes two to last forever...
